When Should I book?
Better early than late!
Book, Book, Book if you are expecting! The sooner the better- this doesn't mean we will have the exact date booked but let me know you'd like to schedule, send your $75 deposit & get your name in the books.You never know when baby will make his or her appearance and I only offer a certain # of newborns per month.
Baby already here? Don't fret. I may have an opening for a newbie shoot so send me a message and we will see if I have availability.
When do we do this thing?
Getting baby to the shoot-
When you book your session with me I typically reserve a whole block for your baby in my books. This way baby has ample time to wait or even to come early and we will be ready for him or her. We set the final date for the shoot right after baby's birthday. I ask that you let me know right after baby's big day so that we can schedule them in the perfect posing time-frame. This is between 8-12 days after birth and allows baby to be sleepy and more easily posed.
Baby already here? That's okay! We may just spend more time settling baby, baby may be more awake and less wrapped in perfected poses & instead be more natural in poses.
How long does this last?
Beauty takes time.
The quality of your newborn session is my main focus. To reach the highest quality we must have patience. That is why a session can last up to 3 hours. I do ask that you set aside most of your day for the newborn shoot because we don't want to feel rushed in any way. We will take as many breaks as needed to feed and soothe sweet baby.
I also want this to be a comfortable and relaxing experience for momma. So have a seat on the rocking chair, lay down on the couch, turn on the TV or bring your book or Ipad and enjoy this session. My focus is on baby's safety and creating beautiful images.
This price includes the shooting time and talent of me, your photographer, my use of handpicked props and equipment and hours of editing the images captured during your session. Price also includes digital rights to all edited prints. For an additional $15 fee, I will send you a flash drive with all images, otherwise you can download images off Facebook.
